LAUNDRY FACILITIES
The laundry rooms are located on the second floor of each building and are accessible 24 hours a day.
For your convenience, the International Village laundry facility is outfitted with washers, dryers, a counter top for folding clothes and organizing laundry, and an ironing board. All washers and dryers are card-operated. Residents are issued a card at the front desk upon check-in. Residents are able to add credits to the card from the vending machines in the laundry rooms. Loss of laundry cards will result in a replacement charge of $25.00. Currently, the price of one wash cycle is $1.00 and one dry cycle is $1.00. Change is available at the RSO during office hours.
All laundry facilities are designated as “NO SMOKING” areas.
To help ensure the safety of your personal belongings and to be courteous to fellow residents, always promptly remove laundry as washing (approximately 30 minutes) and drying cycles (approximately 40 minutes) are completed. Do not prop laundry facility doors open as this can allow entry of unauthorized individuals. International Village is not responsible for articles that are lost or stolen during use of the laundry facility.
If a washer, dryer, or laundry room vending machine malfunctions, please notify the RSO immediately.
STUDY LOUNGES
Located on the first floor in Building A and on the second floor in Building B, the study lounges, both equipped with study group tables and comfortable seating, provide a quiet space dedicated to individual and group studying 24 hours a day.
EXERCISE ROOM
The exercise room, accessible 24 hours a day, is located on the first floor of Building B and is equipped with a Universal Weight Machine designed for leg, arm, chest, and stomach strengthening/toning and treadmills, stationary bikes and an elliptical machine designed for cardio exercise. To ensure your safety while exercising, please use caution and follow all posted signs and directions. Of course, if there is any doubt, you should consult a physician before use of the equipment or implementation of any exercise program. Please use the exercise room at your own risk. The International Village Management is not responsible for any injury sustained during use of equipment.
If an exercise machine is not operating properly, please notify the RSO immediately.
RESERVATIONS
The following facilities located on the International Village property are available to residents for meetings, parties, or other events:
• The International Village TV Lounge and soccer field area
Use of all International Village facilities is controlled in order to help ensure that residents can equally enjoy them. Requests to reserve facilities for events must be filed with the RSO at least ten (10) days prior to the actual event. Recurring events may not be scheduled more than one quarter in advance. Events may be scheduled to occur between 8am-10pm on weekdays and Sundays or between 8am-12am on Fridays and Saturdays. A $50.00 deposit must be submitted with each Facility Use Request and will be kept on file pending an inspection of the facility by a International Village staff member following the event. The resident who acts as the event coordinator will be responsible for the final condition of the facility. Charges for cleanliness and/or damages in excess of the $50.00 deposit will be debited to the said resident as deemed appropriate. TELEVISION LOUNGE
The television lounge is conveniently located on the first floor of Building A adjacent to the RSO. A big screen television with satellite television channels is provided for your entertainment. This room may be reserved with the RSO for meetings or small get-togethers or you may wander in at your leisure to watch satellite television. The TV Lounge is also equipped with a sink with garbage disposal and refrigerator.
BASKETBALL COURT AND SOCCER FIELD
The recreational field located behind Building A & B is equipped with a basketball court, soccer field with bleachers, and a charcoal BBQ grill. This area is for resident use only.
VENDING MACHINES
Snack and beverage machines are located on the first floor of Building B. All snack and beverage machines are coin & dollar operated. If a vending machine is not operating properly, please notify the RSO immediately. Vending room is open 24 hrs. with key card access.
RECREATION ROOM (IVY ROOM)
The recreation room is located above the vending machine room in Building B and contains 12 computers and various other games including pool/billiards tables.
BBQ
BBQ grills are available in the courtyard and the recreation field for use by the residents of International Village. There is no need to fill out a BBQ request form. It is on a first come first served basis. Courtyard BBQ key can be checked out at the RSO.
