Parking

If you have a car, motorcycle, or other vehicle, you will be required to purchase and properly display a parking permit in order to park in the International Village parking lots (not valid in Extension lots). Parking permits may be purchased at UCR extension Center Student Services (951) 827-4105/ 1200 University Ave.) by submitting a valid Parking Authorization form that will be issued to you by the RSO upon move-in. Your International Village parking permit will allow you to park only in the International Village parking lot. Parking Permit prices for the 2004-2005 academic year are currently scheduled as follows:

  • $84.00 per Quarter
  • $45.00 per Month
  • $336.00 Annual

      Residents with IV Parking Permits may also park on main campus (not Extension) in Gold, Blue, or Red parking spaces during the following conditions: (1) after 4pm on weekdays, (2) on weekends, and (3) on University-observed Holidays (main campus parking regulation can be viewed at http://www.parking.ucr.edu/rules/index.htm   or by talking to a Parking & Safety Officer).

      At all other times except for the three situations mentioned above, IV parking Permits are not valid outside of the International Village parking lot.

      Guests may purchase one day parking permits from the yellow parking permit dispenser located at UCR Extension parking lots for $3.00 a day.

      If a visitor would like to park for a short time and do not wish to purchase a $3.00 permit, metered parking is available in the International Village parking lot. The parking meters are coin-operated. Anyone parking at an expired meter will be cited.

      Free services for permit holders are available. The Parking and Safety unit will provide:

    • Jump Starts
    • Key Lockouts-Opening your car door should you lock your keys inside. Please be prepared to show proof of ownership! Keep in mind that there are some cars that we can’t open due to manufacturer lock guards or increased chance of hardware damage. This applies predominantly to newer model vans and Sport Utility vehicles.
    • A gallon of gas to get you on your way (we provide the gas can and the ride, you pay for the gas) available Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 10:00PM and on Saturdays from 8:00AM to 5:00PM by calling 827-4105, Services are available to anyone with a valid UCR Permit. Just give us a call and a friendly Parking & Safety Officer will be dispatched to your location, usually within 15 minutes.

        • Please report any theft or vandalism that occurs in the International Village parking lot to Campus Police immediately (951.827.5222).
