International Village feels that the safety and security provided you as a resident of on-campus housing is superior enough to make it an overwhelming advantage of living in a campus apartment. However, although we make every effort to protect on-campus housing, it would be unrealistic to expect that theft will never occur on the International Village property.

Therefore, we encourage you to carefully consider purchasing renter’s insurance. A renter’s insurance brochure is available at Housing Services and the International Village RSO. The brochure contains information about special rates offered to students wishing to insure their personal property against loss or damage. While the provider has no affiliation to the University, they have for many years offered affordable insurance plans specifically designed for students.
