All International Village rental payments are due in full on the first day of the month and are considered late after the 3rd business day of the month, excluding weekends and holidays. Delinquent accounts will be assessed a $20.00 Late Fee. Payments are always applied to the oldest bill on your account first and Late Fees are assessed accordingly. Returned checks will be assessed a $25.00 minimum Nonsufficient Funds (NSF) fee. After a student submits a 2nd returned check, the Resident Services Office (RSO) will only accept cashiers checks or money orders to pay future rents. Payments by money order, cashier’s check, check (payable to International Village), or credit card may be made Monday-Friday (8am-5pm PST) at the International Village RSO. A 4% convenience fee will be added to all credit card payments.
Please be sure to include your Student ID Number and unit number on all checks. If you have a question regarding your International Village Rental Account, please call the International Village RSO during regular business hours
Please note that UCR Financial Aid will not automatically pay any of your International Village housing costs. It is strictly your responsibility to ensure that Financial Aid funds intended for University-related bills such as housing are used appropriately. Your proper use of these funds will be a determinant factor in the event of any subsequent account delinquencies.
Rent Deferment
If you anticipate a difficulty making your Housing payment, contact International Village RSO (951.826-3102) as soon as possible in order to discuss making alternative payment arrangements. Payment arrangements MUST be made prior to your account becoming delinquent and do not negate Late Fee charges. Only documented hardship (e.g. illness, financial aid difficulties, etc.) will be considered a legitimate reason for deferment of rental payments.
Delinquent Rental Accounts
If your International Village rental account becomes delinquent, International Village will initiate eviction procedures and their associated fees.
