1. RENT: Prior to your move-in date, you will need to pay your fist month’s rent and deposit with International Village.

2. Bring your rental payment receipt to the International Village RSO.

3. KEYS: You will be issued appropriate keys to allow entry into your apartment, bedroom, and International Village common areas. You will not be issued a Mail Key at this time.

4. PARKING AUTHORIZATION: If you have a vehicle, you will be able to purchase an International Village Parking permit at the Student Services desk in the nearby UCR Extension Center. Directions to the Extension Center can be obtained when you arrive.

5. MOVE-IN INSPECTION: You will be asked to complete a Move-In walkthrough to be completed within five (5) business days of your move-in. Residents are required to attend the Move-In walkthrough. During the Move-In walkthrough, a International Village staff member will orient you with your apartment and the property in general. Notations of any maintenance or custodial discrepancies in your apartment will also be documented during this walkthrough. If the International Village staff member deems it appropriate, plans will be discussed with you to enter your apartment at a later date to correct the discrepancies. All other discrepancies will be noted on your Move-In Inspection Form in order to ensure that you are not charged for pre-existing discrepancies upon move-out. Please make every effort to be thorough during this review of your apartment. Your signature on the Move-In Inspection Form will indicate your agreement as to the conditions documented on the form. Failure to complete a Move-In Inspection within five (5) business days of your move-in will imply your consent that your apartment/bedroom is acceptable “as is.” Consequently, you may be charged for any maintenance or custodial discrepancies noted upon move-out that were not previously documented by a qualified staff person.

Upon completion of your move-in walkthrough, you will be issued your Mail Key.
